Wild Earth Campers is a Cornwall-based campervan conversion workshop in Wadebridge, building adventure-ready vans with care, precision and craftsmanship.
We specialise in premium campervan conversions, from Skyline pop-top installations to fully equipped off-grid adventure vans. Every build is designed to help customers explore the coast, moors and beyond. Our vans are built to be used - heading out across Cornwall, the UK and beyond.
We’re currently looking for an experienced Campervan Conversion Technician to join our workshop team.
Please note: This role requires hands-on experience working on campervan or caravan conversions. Applicants should already be familiar with vehicle conversions, van builds, or similar specialist automotive work. We focus on clean installs, proper wiring and builds that last - not rushed conversions.

As a Campervan Conversion Technician, you’ll play an important role in building high-quality campervans from start to finish.
Our workshop focuses on clean installs, durable systems and thoughtful design. You'll contribute to builds that are reliable, functional and built for real travel. Most of our builds are based on the Volkswagen platform (such as Transporters and Crafters), with pop-tops, off-grid electrics and practical interior setups.
Key Responsibilities
Fit pop-top roofs
Reinforcement, cutting, bonding, sealing and finishing to a high standard.
Install 12V electrical systems
DC wiring, solar installations, lighting and campervan accessories.
Complete fit-outs
Windows, flooring, insulation, lining, heaters, beds and cabinetry adjustments.
Problem-solve builds
Think ahead on unique builds and contribute practical solutions during installation.
Own build quality
Take pride in your work from preparation through to final handover, helping maintain the high standards our workshop is known for.
While not required, the following experience would be useful:
CNC or CAD familiarity
Experience installing diesel heaters, solar systems or camper bed systems
Upholstery knowledge or finishing skills
Carpentry / woodwork experience

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in building things properly.
Hands-on industry background
Experience in campervan conversions, vehicle builds, auto tech, or similar practical industries.
Tool-confident
Comfortable measuring accurately, working with tools and maintaining tidy, safe workshop practices.
Electrics aware
Basic understanding of 12V campervan electrical systems.
Self-motivated
Able to work independently or as part of a small team and keep builds progressing.
Detail-driven
You notice alignment, clean cuts, seal lines and cable routing.
Open-minded
Happy to learn new skills and bring ideas into the workshop.
Focused on improvement
Committed to raising the standard of every build.

Has already worked on campervan or caravan builds
